John Carrozza, Fine Artist and Illustrator, is a graduate of Vesper George School of Art in Boston, majoring in Fine Art, Illustration, Graphic Design and attended Fenway Studios, studying under the Boston School painter Robert Cormier. He works as a fine artist and freelance illustrator in a small town south of Boston. John considers himself an educational and children’s book illustrator trained in traditional drawing and painting using a mix of fine art, illustrative technique and imaginative storytelling to create a unique blend of artwork for their beauty and emotional power. He worked in the art and advertising department of The Boston Globe as an illustrator and promotional designer for nine years, he has worked for many major publishers with assignments that include, children’s books, traditional and digital illustration, educational materials, magazines, maps, textbooks, newsletters, coloring books, greeting cards, postcards, t-shirts, puzzles, toys and games. Most often he works in a realistic style creating conceptual representations of people and the natural environment including animals and landscapes. Media: Watercolor, Colored Pencil and Graphite.

Currently: John is currently illustrating and retelling some of his favorite Aesop's Fables which will include a series of 32 full color illustrations. He is also working on a series of watercolor paintings of New England woodlands and beaches.
